The Moshe Hecht Band live in NYC with special guest Gavriel Kahane!

Cash bar.

Last week a fire ravished Yael’s apartment, consuming all of her belongings and killing her beloved cat Sydney.

This Monday help us turn her tragedy into a blessing by joining two super-talented musicians in NYC for an intimate benefit concert.

You can make a difference in Yael’s life simply by coming out to an awesome show and having a great time!

Please spread this message to your friends.

About Yael

Yael is a young woman known to hundreds as somebody who takes every opportunity to help others. She never says no to a request for help and indeed goes out of her way to help those in need in whatever way she can - materially and spiritually.

About Moshe Hecht

Born into a Chassidic family trailing generations of rabbis, Moshe Hecht grew up striving to define himself while staying true to his faith. He turned to singing and songwriting to put the pieces together.

Moshe’s music draws inspiration from folk, classic rock, reggae and Chassidic melodies. His lyrics are poetic, honest, and confident, complimented by a voice that is aged with a depth, wisdom and passion beyond his 25 years.

Moshe considers his music a tool for communicating elevating ideas and lessons. His barrier-breaking live performances are a dynamic interplay of singing, storytelling, insight and humor that have already warmed audiences of every calling.

The dream, he says, is "to inspire people to connect with their roots in a natural yet powerful way."

Moshe is currently working on completing his debut album with a seven-time Emmy award-winning producer.

About Gavriel Kahane

Growing up in a family of musicians, the question was not whether Gavriel was going to play an instrument, but rather what instrument he was going to play. At the age of four Gavriel started playing the cello. The cello playing has greatly developed his ear and you can hear his classical training in his musical style.

Gavriel primarily plays acoustic guitar and his sound has been compared to that of Damien Rice and Ray LaMontagne.

He has played both internationally and throughout New York at venues such as The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End, Mo Pitkins, The Triad and on college campuses.

His influences include: Alexi Murdoch, Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Brett Dennen, Damien Rice, Grateful Dead, Imogen Heap, Jack Johnson, Jose Gonzalez, Marc Cohn, Nickel Creek, Radiohead, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams, Shlomo Carlebach and Sigur Ros.
